Kate Pearce was born into a large family of girls in England, and spent much of her childhood living very happily in a dream world. Despite being told that she really needed to ‘get with the program’, she graduated from the University College of Wales with an honors degree in history.
After graduation, real life did intervene and she ended up working in finance which was not the greatest career choice for a would-be writer!
A move to the USA finally allowed her to fulfill her dreams and sit down and write that novel. Along with being a voracious reader, Kate loves trail riding with her family, ‘western style’ in the regional parks of Northern California
Kate writes in several different romance sub-genres under different names. She is a member of RWA and is published by Kensington Aphrodisia, Ellora’s Cave and Virgin Black Lace/Cheek.

Q: How did you get started writing?
I’ve always made stuff up. I believe they called that day dreaming at school LOL. I started writing seriously when we moved to the U.S. in 2000. I couldn’t work at that point and I wanted to try and see if I could make a success of it. It took me 5 years to get my first book published but it was worth it.
Q: What do you like most about being a writer?
I like not having to go into a cubicle each day and get dressed up. I like being able to work around my four kids schedules and be home with them. I really like making stuff up and getting paid for it. LOL
Q: What is a typical day for you when you’re working on a novel?
A typical day-I get up at 6, feed cats, let dog out, wake up son #2 take him to school. Come back wake daughter and husband up, take daughter to school. Come home, do email, check websites, message boards do business stuff. Then I write for about 2 hours, hopefully without interruptions. Then I pick up my daughter from school, spend time with her, pick up my son, check email, make dinner and read in bed, fall asleep, repeat.
