And to prove it-here’s a photo of the trifle I made for Christmas. Unfortunately, when I went to find the bottle of brandy to add to it, the brandy was all gone. I ‘believe’ we used it up last Christmas, although I have my suspicions…

It is fiddly to make but well worth the effort. My kids demolished it in about 24 hours :)

Here’s another picture of me watching my daughter have her first ski lesson. She’d just fallen over…

And here’s the little darling herself :)

Happy Holidays!!

Wow this year has gone by fast! I suspect that’s because between 4 kids and writing 3 books and a novella I got pretty busy. :)

I want to wish you all a lovely holiday season full of good food, nice presents and peace and goodwill.

I also have a few details of my upcoming books in 2010-those I know for definite, anyway :)

February-”Some Like it Rough” contemporary novella from Kensington Aphrodisia along with Susan Lyons and Anne Rainey.

May- “Simply Insatiable” book #5 in the Simply series from Kensington Aphrodisia. This one is about Lord Minshom.

August- “Kiss of the Rose“- the first of my new paranormal Tudor Vampire historical romances for Signet Eclipse. I’m excited!!

Also coming up another Simply book, Simply Forbidden and a historical novella. I’ll give you dates for those when I get them.
And, readers who have been asking me about when the Virgin ‘Cheek’ Turner brothers books will be going into e-book format-they will and they are. The third one, Riding the Line is already available, and apparently the other two will be out in May 2010.
All good stuff.

So have a great holiday and look forward to seeing you all here in the new year!

When his estranged wife, Lady Jane returns with an ultimatum he flatly refuses-even if it means she will turn to other men. Forced to watch Jane flirt shamelessly at the House of Pleasure, Minshom is enraged…and excited. The innocent girl he wed at seventeen has transformed into a voluptuous woman who still ignites a scorching hunger within him…
ARE ALWAYS THE MOST PLEASURABLE…
After seven years apart from her husband, Jane is now ready to settle their differences and start afresh. But when she is reunited with Minshom, his attitude infuriates her-and she is determined to teach him a lesson. Yet even as Jane accepts the attentions of other men, it is Minshom she truly wants. For she alone knows how to satisfy all of his wicked needs…

What a cover!!!!

“The Christmas She Rules”
Control is her kink…and she’s losing it.

It’s another gloomy Christmas for Pamela Dane. Not only is it the anniversary of a dark period in her life, but all her friends had the nerve to hook up. It’s not easy for a female Domme to find a playmate. Maybe The Cage in San Francisco will be the perfect place to escape—and find a willing man to chase away the memories.

Christian Nolan is at the BDSM club for the hell of it. Yet the minute Mistress Dane takes control of him, she not only stuns him with her talent, he stuns himself with his willingness to surrender. Her offer to meet him there for another night is intriguing—and frightening.

Pamela’s session with Chris shakes her to the core, resurrecting memories she’s afraid to face. But Chris isn’t willing to let her past haunt her…even if it leaves his heart in tatters.

Warning: Hot, strong man on his knees, which will bring you to yours. Strap-on action, anal play, lots of leather and tons of tension. Alpha male who likes to do whatever the right woman tells him to do, including another woman.

Rescuing her seals Maddox’s fate, but only if he can protect her from a rogue of his kind. A werewolf with a nasty streak…and a preference for raw meat.

The Ghost Shrink, the Accidental Gigolo and the Poltergeist Accountant by Vivi Andrews
Lucy is doomed. Not to death. To nightly visits from recently deceased Casanovas without the bodies to scratch her itch. Then a living fantasy arrives on her doorstep. Is her dry spell at an end? Not hardly. Jake has been sent to prevent her from getting laid until a particular horny phantom—and key witness in his investigation—pays her a visit.

ParaMatch.com by MK Mancos
Even though she lives without a paranormalady, Lucille has managed to carve a niche for herself with a paranormal matchmaking service. Enter Jager, deposed king of the Titans and successful paratrader. She can match anyone, except him. She doesn’t know that he’s out to negotiate the deal of a lifetime—a future with her.

Witches Anonymous by Misty Evans
Amy is done with Devil-worshipping. After swearing an oath never to use magic again, she’s in the market for a normal guy to complement her new lifestyle. And Adam looks like perfect hero material. Lucifer, however, isn’t about to be nice about letting her go…

Warning: This book contains hunky werewolves, smart-A** women and men who think that’s sexy, magic, angels, medieval legends, inter-species romance, disco music and flatulent Boxers. (The dogs, not the underwear.)

"The Scroll Thief: a Tale of Ithian" by R. F. Long

Love is the wiliest thief of all.

A Tale of Ithian

Malachy and his sister rely on his talents as a thief to survive the dangerous streets of Klathport, former capital of the once-great kingdom of Ithian. Stealing a few papers should have been a simple job. Instead, it nearly costs their lives and throws them into an improbable alliance with a shape-shifting official, a desert tribeswoman, and a healer of enchanting beauty.

Cerys is far more than a simple healer—and the roots of her mission go deeper into the past than anyone can know. She needs Malachy’s skills to recover a stolen scroll, one that can be used to rewrite history and, in the wrong hands, release the dark powers of the Demon Realm.

Her mission was supposed to atone for a dreadful, long-ago act. Instead, it unleashes a chain of events which sees them pursued through city and desert by the fearsome Dune Witch and a killer known only as His Lordship. Romance, tragedy, and adventure blend in a tale of a magical land on the brink of war, and five unlikely allies who, by putting their lives—and their hearts—on the line, have the opportunity to finally set things right.

But at a terrible cost.

Warning: Contains scenes of graphic violence and torture, captivating magic and beauty, two dashing heroes, three gutsy heroines, several love stories and a heartbreaking sacrifice.

A Love Never ending
By Rowan Larke

Death took Jason from Clarissa, and she blames herself. Night after night, she throws herself into the arms of other men—men who abuse and pleasure her, but never take her far enough. She is waiting for the one who will take her over the edge and into death, so she can be reunited with Jason.

Death didn’t take Jason far enough. Every night, Jason watches. His immortal self is trapped inside the club Clarissa owns, and he longs to be with her once more.

Death is a dark angel. A handsome man. The promise of violence in his eyes draws Clarissa to him. Will a single night in bed with Death be all it takes to destroy Jason and Clarissa’s love neverending, or will it be just the beginning?

Publisher’s Note: This book contains explicit sexual content, graphic language, and situations that some readers may find objectionable: BDSM theme and content, violence, voyeurism.

(Authors note: This book also contains hot angels who sometimes do bad and/or dirty things.)

Apologies for non-appearance of new blog on Monday. My daughter was sick and I had to concentrate on being a mother for a few days. She seems fine now :)

I’m busy writing the Tudor Vamps and checking page proofs for Simply Insatiable.

Just for laughs, here’s a picture of me surrounded by my 5 sisters-I am 4 of 6-yes, the forgotten middle child. I’m not sure what I was going for in that dress, I look as wide as a bus in those stripes! At 5ft 6 I’m also the shortest and the only one with dark brown hair and hazel eyes. The others all have blue/grey eyes and not all of them are natural blondes… (just sayin’)

First up, there is a pre-order link on amazon already for “Kiss of the Rose’ isn’t that exciting? And even better news is that they’ve moved it up to August for release.

Not much text for you this week, but a few pictures instead. I think I mentioned that I rarely see pictures of my heroes, but I did luck out and find these ones of two real-life French Rugby playing brothers, Mauro and Mirco Bergamasco who remind me of the Harcourt twins, Gervase and Gideon, from Eden’s Pleasure and Antonia’s Bargain.

MauroandMircoBergamasco.

And then there’s this one of Mauro…
mauro
And in case you are wondering where on earth I got those pictures, they are both from the official French Rugby calender, Dieux De Stade-Gods of the Stadium.

And while you’re clearing your throats and fanning yourselves over those images, (and ordering the calender) let’s talk about facial hair on men. I must admit that I quite like a nice goatee on a man, but a lot of women don’t. As I’m writing a Tudor hero in an era when almost everyone had a beard. I had to go and find some inspiration. And, boy did I find some :)

“The Tudors” on Showtime were quite helpful.

and Henry Cavill

and from the movie ‘Elizabeth’ Clive Owen as Sir Walter Raleigh

Then there is my next cover for “Some like it Rough”
