Louisa, it's not a Signet Regency but a Signet Eclipse, which is a sort of multipurpose line from NAL--it includes all subgenres (including erotica and erotic romance) and both trade and mass market paperbacks.

So I'm now letting people know what a sexy book it really is even if the cover and back cover blurb don't tell you that!

Janet

I can't believe, from that little explanation of the plot, that they put you into Signet Regency! Boy, has that line changed in the last few years. For the better, I'd say--your book sounds amazing! I love super sexy hot stuff written by funny, intelligent women...Ask Kate, she knows.

Maria, funnily enough I call it Forbidden Shoes sometimes too (the foot fetishits' edition). But my favorite nickname is its working title, Ass Bandits of the Caribbean.

I equate the Georgian period with more debauchery. *g*
"Tattoos, scars, piercings, a sneer, a really, really big whip, and a shaved head". LOL! The only one of these I don't have any longer is the shaved head.
LMAO! Maria. I need new glasses so I can relate.

Hi Crystal, Shelli, Victoria, and Mel--thanks for dropping by! It's interesting how narrow a period the Regency actually was. I think the women's clothes of the late Georgian period, were at their best around 1800 when they relied on classical line and drape; and it's that we tend to think of as Regency style rather than the encrusted rosette-y hems and funny sleeves of the 18-teens.

I was very proud to have the book come out this year b/c it's the 200th anniversary of the passing of the act of parliament that abolished the slave trade. I dedicated the book to the abolitionists, tho I think it might have caused them conniptions.

LOL! I'm definitely writing historical erotica. Loved the quiz.
Oh, Jane, I'd love to read "Forbidden Shores". I was asked a question once about what time period I thought wasn't written about enough. I answered "Georgian". That period appeals to me greatly. I love historical romance!

The book is intriguing me, I admire historical writers as I don't think I could manage all the research involved!
