RWA pictures

I'm back!
I had a fabulous time. I talked too much, discovered strawberry lemon drops in the bar, learnt a few things both professionally and about some of my fellow conference goers and came home in one piece. What more could a gal ask for?

My favorite things were meeting all the RWAOnliners, the Virgin, Ellora's Cave and Kensington Aphrodisia authors and a couple of my editors. Some of the PAN workshops were great for the business side of the writing and I also enjoyed Michael Hauge's 'From Identity to Essence- Love stories and Transformation' (more about MH later)

People are always asking me to put photos of myself on the blog but I usually resist because I take a horrible photo-I have a fat round face. This year I decided to oblige, mainly because I've gotten over myself.

And here I am-drawn by my 5 year old daughter. (I told you I had a fat round face didn't I?) When I inquired about hair she gave me a withering look and said "You don't have hair!" so I stopped asking, and made her draw me some legs instead, which I like, because they are thin and lack cankles.

More importantly, here are some of my pals and some of me enjoying ourselves.

Here are a gaggle of Virgin authors, Sue, Anne, Teresa and Dayle. That's me in the back in the boa and cowboy hat-I'd just come from the RWAOnline 'Ropin Romance party'-honest.

This picture features the fabulous Kayla Perrin and Michelle Buonfiglio from Romance Buy the Blog-I borrowed this piccy from her-I hope she doesn't mind. It was taken at the Literacy signing where I had the pleasure of hearing a few of Kayla's stories about RT. And don't ask what I'm wearing, I was going for a gypsy Western theme but I'm not sure it all came together as well as I hoped.

Mel and Nic, two of my favorite people in the world, both from RWAOnline. Several of these pictures are Nic's who actually got me to look okay in a couple-I should be paying her!

More tomorrow! Blogger is so slow!

Great pics, Kate! You look marvelous, darling, no round face and lots of hair:) Don't you wish we could go back and do it all again?

Very cute pictures! I miss stalking you in person. Online stalking is much less fun. *pouts*
