Hello, Damerel is the best, no question and just to let you know the new season boots at Marks and Spencer are a lot roomier in the calf (should Mr Kate be feeling generous).

Hi Kate! I know what you mean about not quite being able to decide what to write next. I have one or two different ideas bubbling, but not sure which one really grabs me the most. So I'm writing a short story instead...

Yay on the publication date, and the ISBN! We're publication day buddies! :)

And likewise on the chocolate... Galaxy is yum!

What part of the UK will you be visiting?

I’ve only read a few of Georgette Hyer’s books, and that was a number of years ago, but I remember that I loved each one of them. I go through spurts where I’ll read nothing but regencies for a while, and then switch to medieval romance, time-travels, romantic comedies, or another genre or subgenre after that. Just depends on my mood I guess.

Actually, the same goes for what I’m writing at any given time. Sometimes I feel more reflective and I’ll write something more serious, while at other times I’m in the right frame of mind to write something screwball and madcap (that’s most often). Lately I’ve been combining paranormal elements with my erotic romantic comedy and I’m pleased with the unusual results. :-)

Who is your mother and why did she call you eatrawfish???!!
I totally agree about Avon-there's that little hint of hardness and darkness there too...
If you want to try another similar dark hero check out Julia Ross "The Seduction" another lace clad hero to die for.
Kate

My mother sent me over to your blog because she was pretty sure we liked the same Heyers. :) Although I'm not sure what order I'd put them in, your #1 and #2 are the same as mine.

How she made Avon so irresistable and dark despite his enjoyment of ridiculously foppish behavior (that fan!) is quite impressive.

Love all this talk of Georgette Heyer!

Kate, I'm like you in that I'm torn between genres. Right now I'm working on a contemporary but I'm itching to get back to my historicals! I'm determined to finish this contemp though. I find I like the chageup, and there are some stories that can only be told in the contemporary venue and likewise, some that can only be told in the historical one.
