Joyfully Reviewed
Reviewer: Talia Ricci

Kate Pearce has taken regency romance to a higher level with Antonia’s
Bargain and I have to applaud her ability to explore taboo subjects while
writing a novel of worth and  Antonia’s Bargain is a novel of worth.  I
loved it.

Antonia’s Bargain is a captivating tale, both beautifully written and
poignant.  Gideon and Antonia are perfectly matched and their pain and
pleasure are equally compelling.  Kate Pearce provides her readers with
an edgy look at the Regency-era that will have you completely
enraptured from beginning to end.  The relationship between Gideon
and Antonia, as it develops, illustrates the strength of their bond and
had me weeping tears of happiness by the end.

Antonia’s Bargain is a sexy fast paced historical romance that is sure to
entertain the readers. It brings the time of regency England to life
through the eyes of a female exploring the male world. Gideon
introduces Antonia to the ways of young men seeking entertainment.
Nothing is forbidden, from pleasures of the flesh to gamboling, Antonia
will see it all. Readers will delight as Antonia reacts to these new
experiences and how her reactions affect Gideon.

This is highly erotic romance where all aspects of pleasure are
described. Numerous scenes too hot to describe here for the readers
will excite and stimulate the imagination. Lovers in every combination
and in every position will frequent this story. The readers will enjoy the
fact that during a time of such strict social rules a woman explores the
freedom that comes with being born male.

The romance between Gideon and Antonia must move beyond the fears
and troubles of both their past. Their histories touch the heart and let
the reader understand what has shaped their fears. These characters
find in the other someone that understands them and accepts their
needs and desires when others would judge them negatively. Together
they find a type of healing that opens their heart to love.

Readers are encouraged to add Antonia’s Bargain by Kate Pearce to
their reading list. This creative and highly passionate romance is sure to
be enjoyed by all.

As I sat down to read Antonio’s Bargain, Ms. Pearce had two items in
her favor right from the beginning: the fact that this story was a
historical and knowing I would be exposed to some non-traditional
sexual encounters. Then she snared me with Gideon who was
confident, a connoisseur of all things sexual yet still saddled with a good
deal of vulnerability.

Ms. Pearce was able to design a man who, in spite of his sexual
proclivities, made you feel as if no one else in the world existed. Then
she took me over the top with Antonia. Gideon’s perfect match and
equal when it came to intelligence, wit and daring. These two were
perfect and Ms. Pearce was able to highlight their every emotion, which
made this book topnotch.

A great story for readers like myself who appreciate love full of
acceptance, compromise and your ‘happily ever after on our own terms’
relationship.

A heroine who yearns for the freedom of men and a hero who finds his
dream man in a woman?  ANTONIA'S BARGAIN is most definitely not
your grandmother's Georgette Heyer!   Like many recent Regency
heroines, Antonia is a woman of her time who yearns to break the
bonds of convention and chafes at the rules imposed on her by
society.   Luckily, she finds the perfect partner with Gideon, one of the
most unusual Regency heroes I've ever read.  Gideon is a man unafraid
to explore his sexual interests, be it with women or men.   This
passionate pair pushes the envelope sexually and emotionally and the
result is a story that is poignant, tender and deliciously kinky.

Kate Pearce offers the reader a deliciously wicked story of forbidden
sex and sexual discovery. Gideon and Antonia grow closer as Gideon
teaches her the secrets of passion. As a man, Antonia gets to know how
it feels to be a man in society and loves every second of it. She blooms
under Gideon’s training, learning what it really means to be a sexual
animal. Can Gideon and Antonia admit their love for each other before it
is too late?
